Welcome to a short virtual tour of our fish rooms.
Yes this is in our basement. At least for the time being.
Our fish are basically divided into 3 sections,so this will be broken down the same way.
Section one - breeders section
Here's a couple 75 gallon tanks
- 1 - with a breeding colony of Dimidiochromis compressiceps
- 2 - with breeding pairs of "albino" oscars
- 1 - to be determinded *
Across the room is the main breeding tanks that take up most of the space in the room.
far left side - rack with eight 45 gallon tanks and one 20 gallon.
This is the end and other side of the isle.
Three 45's on the end and six 45's on the side.
On the opposite end there are three 20 gallons to connect to the next row.
The next row has four 45 gallon tanks and four 20 gallon tanks, with three 45 gallon tanks on the end (just like the other row)

Total for this section - four 75's ,twenty-four - 45's and eight 20's totaling over 1500 gallons.
Section 2
This section only houses a few tanks at this time.
The first thing you see is the 300 gallon piranha breeding setup.
Next to that is the section going up to acclimate and quaranteen freshly imported fish.
It didn't all fit in the picture but this is for six 45 gallon tanks.
Directly across the room from the piranha tank is where (eventually) two 125 gallon tanks will be used for other breeding projects.
The fourth side of the room is filled by our bearded dragon breeding setup

Just over 800 gallons in this room, with room to expand.
Section 3
When first looking in this section, you see the acrylic setup we use for seperation and growing out of certain fish.
The right wall of the room is covered by our air blower
,three 15 gallon grow out tanks and two 45 gallon tanks (with room to add more later)
No pics yet
The left wall of the room will have (started not done) sixteen 10 gallon tanks, twelve 15 gallon tanks and two 20 gallon tanks for growouts
No pics yet
Around 700 gallons in this section with room to expand a little more.
Water Our water is well water - no clorine,no extras in it.
For our new world species we use softened water - softened via a water softener and peat.
For our sensative species - R/O mixed with well water is used.
For our old world species we use just filtered well water.
**Note**
Construction was still ongoing while these pictures were taken so some things were not finished in these pictures.
